Subfloor Preparation
Ensure the subfloor is clean, dry, level, and structurally sound
Moisture levels must be within industry standards, as natural fibers can absorb excess humidity
Underlayment
For best results, pair with our Natural Wool Pad, made from recycled first-quality wool fibers in a non-woven construction
Avoid foam, rubber, or chemically treated pads that may be incompatible with natural wool
Installation Method
We recommend installation by a professional carpet installer experienced with natural fibers
Power stretching is recommended to achieve proper tension
Use low-VOC adhesives when adhesive is required, ensuring all materials are compatible with natural wool
Environmental Conditions
Allow carpet and pad to acclimate for 24-48 hours prior to installation
Maintain normal living temperatures and humidity during and after installation
Maintenance & Cleaning
Routine Care
Vaccum regularly using suction-only vaccum or a vaccum with a gentle wool-safe setting. Avoid beater bars, which may damage wool fibers
Rotate rugs or rearrange traffic patterns when possible to ensure even wear
Address spills promptly using blotting only - never scrubbing. Use clean, dry cloths and wool-safe cleaning solutions when needed
Maintain appropriate indoor humidity (around 40-60%) to keep wool fibers stable and resilient
Spot Cleaning
Use only wool-safe cleaners
Blot spills immediately, working from the outer edge inward
Never use bleach, high-pH detergents, or chemical stain repellents
Deep Cleaning
Professional cleaning should be performed as needed using a low-moisture, wool-safe method
Avoid excessive water, steam cleaning, or hot water extraction, which may damage the natural fibers
Because Studio Wool is free from synthetic treatments, proper care ensures longevity, beauty, and performance
EcoWise natural wool carpet and wool pad are crafted with great care using pure, untreated materials. Due to the unique characteristics of natural fibers, variations in texture, color, and shading are normal and are not considered defects.
Because these products are free of synthetic treatments or chemical mothproofing, proper maintenance and environmental conditions are essential to their long-term performance. Damage caused by improper cleaning, installation, environmental exposure, or the use of chemical treatments is not covered under warranty.
